It is Saturday and the weather is very beautiful. We set off for Newport. It is one and a half hours drive from Boston.

Newport, having the most beautiful mansions of the colonial history, is also famous with its yacht harbour. In the 19th century, tobacco merchants and railway workers came from New York and Boston. They built these mansions (with 40-50 rooms) as summerhouses for the rich and these houses serve as museums now.
